Question about background check and possible identity theft?

I had a background check for an employment screening at work. I just got the report today for my records. On it, they listed their investigation summary; which country criminal records they searched to complete my background check. It listed all of the states and counties I have lived in since birth. However, it also listed a state/county that I have never lived in, nor visited. Should this be cause for concern?

Your background records can be edited with free criminal background check so maybe that's why there's additional info in your record. If I were you, I'd ask where they got your record and check it for yourself. It's good if it's erroneously listed there but what if it's really an identity theft?
