What is the severity of background checks at JP Morgan Chase?

I was offered a position to work at JP Morgan Chase and I got the job with the start date and everything. I understand that they do background checks and all that good stuff. I slightly fibbed that I worked at my past employers a little longer than I really did, by a month or two. I also just found out from a friend, that they do employment date verification, which is making me really nervous. Do you think they will refuse the job offer from me?

If they have given you a job offer I would think they have already done the investigation. I would be worried if you had something on your criminal record than the employment dates. I used to work there- think twice and than three times about getting a job there.
