We have a Craftmatic adjustable king bed ( two twins together) our puppy chewed off the wire to under one side of bed leaving only one side able to be adjusted up and down It plugged into a box underneath with a wire that had a plug in end that looked simaler to a phone plug-in. I have been on web sight after web site but no where can I find anyplace to get a replacement control. Even called number given for contact on Craftmatic's Web site but person had no idea where to call or look and actually said he had to go and hung up on me. Anyone else have a Craftmatic bed that they had to obtain a replacement part for? And if so where did you go to get one?

Best Answer:

I don't know how old your bed is, but since these things haven't been on the market that long I'd imagine it's fairly recent and that there's some kind of BIG warranty came with it. I'd try calling Craftmatic again and if the person you speak with is unhelpful, ask to speak with their supervisor. Then, if they are still not helpful, suggest that you intend to contact the consumer protection agency for your state and advise them that the company does not stand behind its product. Also suggest that if this is their usual way of dealing with customers there's probably some grounds for a class action lawsuit in there somewhere and maybe you should just call your lawyer. That's a bit "overkill" but it will get their attention and make them a bit more responsive to your problem. All manufacturers are expected to stand behind their products and to be able to offer replacement parts. Could be you just got a new, inexperienced employee who didn't know how to handle your query. Good luck.

I find it hard to believe that Craftmatic can't help you. Call their support line again, and this time ask for a supervisor. Explain what happened the last time you called. That's bad customer service!

Call up the place that sells the beds and pretend to be interested in making a huge purchase. Then say to the salesman," Wait before I spend all this money , How can you assure me that I can get help if something would break?" When he tells you say you want to write it down and see if you can get through to them before buying. Have him help maybe. That is y9our best chance in finding help.
