I recently applied for a job and in my resume I included the job I was doing in my country. And while they were doing a background check on me, they couldn’t get a hold of the employer I worked for because I think they don’t speak English or maybe they closed because that was 3 years ago. So I received a letter from the company that I applied for and they told me that I have to provide them with a letter from some one that I don’t know saying that I was employed by that company during that time and it has to be on a letter head of person’s company because in my country we get paid cash with no checks. Any help here please we don't pay taxes in my contry.it's just like i don't know what they want.i mean if if the person who is writing this letter is no supoose to know me, how can he be sur that i was working during that time

Best Answer:

you have a few options if your resume is light and you need this i would try to contact someone. Maybe you still have family there that can find someone to get this letter for you. If you have experience the country you are in now just take it off your resume can talk about what experiences you had before in an interview. Last apply for another job somewhere else that won't check your job from back then

Maybe the tax authorities would have some records.

Yes, You should immediately get someone who is a worker (personal friend, if necessary) to get some company letterhead and write that significant "letter." You need to do this right away. Make sure that the person that you ask is a friend or you will be "SCREWED." Hopefully, the person is a worker at that company. Otherwise, you know how to get anyone to concoct such a letter/w recommendation so attached. When you obtain employment, you will send them something that you know that they will appreciate. This is something you need to promise them while asking for them to write such a letter. It's like insurance. You are more likely to get what you want when you offer something in return. Good luck and God bless you in your achievements.
