Will my suppressed file turn up in a background investigation for international assignment.?

I foolishly got in trouble w/ a small amount of marijuana and had the possession charges reduced once i completed the required probation designated by the judge. I completed the requirements and was told by the just "case dismissed" and went on my way. In case any of you want to put in your 2 cents on the marijuana use,,, yes it was very stupid and childish, and I no longer use marijuana nor any illegal drugs. I called the city court and they told me that they cannot even find my record. However, because my background check is for an international position, I've heard my emplyers mention FBI background check for work visa. Will this record come back to haunt me :(?
